Ma's Fish & Chips Plus

I was super wary of ordering from here since I read too many reviews about food being late etc. I noticed that you need to set a specific time in order for your food to get delivered promptly as opposed to ASAP. I ordered the fried fish, macaroni & cheese with cabbage and a side of rice with beans. The fish was amazing and I loved the Mac & cheese simply perfection the cabbage was very good. I was able to eat a good meal and save some for the next day. The rice was my least favorite as there wasnt any unique seasoning it tasted like the kind you could make by uncle Ben. I also ordered the mixed drink it was perfectly sweet and outrageously addictive. All in all I was happy to devour my meal!!! #yummyaf

This was my first time ordering from Ma's, but I assure you it will not be the last. As a family with NC roots and family taste buds that are not easy to please, I took a chance on ordering Sunday "After Church" dinner from here. We were not disappointed. The catfish was flavorful and moist, the fried chicken was crispy and not oily. The yams, mac, shrimp and cabbage were excellent. And I must say, the fact that I was found myself sucking on the turkey neck bones in my greens made we smile with memories of my grandmother. MA's is officially our new soul food takeout go to. Thank you for excellent food and delivery.

Saturday 3/26/16 was my first time trying Ma's. I wanted a change from what I was used to on my side of the hood. Anyway, I must say that I was favorably impressed with the all around service. We had an issue with the Mac and Cheese, and they were more than gracious to offer a replacement item. I will definitely be ordering again soon.

It took a ton of time to get it delivered (pick-up may be better), but the pork rib meal was amazingly good - as well as the chicken & waffles, huge portions for the money. The desserts seem expensive, but that's because it's a giant portion - insanely good cake - the place is off the chain.

Man! this place is great!!! i love the chef!!! because without the chef there is no food! This chef is awesome! Hes a great cook! *may stop in the store to give him a face-to-face thankyou! they're always on time! Do recommend and WILL (continue to) order (again)

Food came earlier than predicted. All of the meat items - bbq ribs, oxtail and fried whiting, we're delicious. Sides were good too - collard greens, cabbage, potatoe salad and candied yams. Macaroni and cheese was just ok. Overall a good meal and order experience.

We ordered late in the evening and they accomodated me. Food was excellent. Yams mac and cheese fried shrimp was excellent. My husband had ribs maccoroni salad rice and peas he said it was good. Will order here again.

This place has great fried catfish. Their sandwiches use cheap sliced bread instead of real sandwich bread but the fish inside is more than good enough to make up for it. Get a platter and it's amazing.

I moved a few weeks ago. I miss them so much. When I visit friends in the area I order from them even if we had planned on eating somewhere else. And the best staff and delivery people
